DBK Woodlands
Product Details
Ladies and Gentleman! Meet our DBK Woodlands! A love project that found it’s roots at the start of our knife journey! The DBK woodlands has been inspired by one of our first knives the EnZo Trapper (Now Brisa Trapper). It was the first non super steel knife we actually fell in love with. Not a survival knife but a true bushcrafter that, if you take good care of it, it will take good care of you.
This aspect actually made us fall in love more with the knife and we hope you can do the same with the DBK Woodlands.

14C28n Steel:
The aim for the woodlands is to make an affordable High quality knife that would be a good fit for a wide audience. 14c28n fits that bill perfectly. It’s one of the toughest stainless steels with very decent edge retention while still being cost effective and still easy to sharpen. Our 14C28n is hardened to 59-60 HRC.
High Scandi with a secondary convex
The woodlands feature a high scandi grind with a secondary convex put on by yours truly! The 2 ugly Dutch boys! Each knife was checked for sharpness and comes with a mirror like secondary convex.
To hear the complete story behind it please refer to our video…. But! This combination has proved very efficient for keeping both the incredible slicing and carving capabilities as well as adding the strength of the convex for a more durable edge.
Curly Birch handle:
Just as our first EnZo trapper we chose natural curly birch for it’s handle. Each piece of curly birch is unique. No knife will be the same. What we love about the curly birch is that it darkens over time. We used to oil ours many times to speed up this process. In the end the handle will sort of get stabilized by the oils you put on it or eventually the oils from your hands. they’re pieces of art produced by nature!
Our Woodlands handle has been oiled twice from the factory and 1 times extra by the DBK boys themselves. We recommend Danish oil.
The handle features familiar DBK ergonomics (slight coke bottle shape) for long use handle comfort.
*side note: Curly Birch is a natural product which can shrink and expand with moisture and temperature changes. Oiling the handle will minimize this and eventually stop it. If this annoys you please watch our video for an easy fix
Leather friction sheath with fire steel loop:
The sheath might look familiar. This is our original DBK Friction Sheath made in Ukraine. It fits both the knife and a DBK fire steel. The sheath is interchangeable with many other knives like our DBK bushcrafter or Bushfriend 2000. Comes with a Dangler for high or low carry.
Made by Brisa in Finland
We are very proud to have been able to make this knife come true with the help from Brisa. The same maker as the original EnZo Trapper.
Finland has a rich knife history and is known for many high-quality knives. Thanks a lot Fin friends!
